When a grassroots, green-oriented developer approached the office to do a seven unit residential project in Strathcona, we encouraged them to apply for LiveSmart funding, a provincial initiative to fund the 100 most efficient residential units in BC through the Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Petroleum Resources. Working with an established team of consultants, we prepared a comprehensive application and obtained the funding which will allow this ground-breaking project to be realized. The funding will also support an educational component after construction, helping to make this a more replicable building model.
